Hulkling Reportedly Being Cast in the MCU

There are many signs that we’re building towards the Young Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Cassie Lang was made a teenager in Avengers: Endgame, it looks like we’re being introduced to Wiccan and Speed in WandaVision, and of course Kate Bishop will star in Hawkeye. Now another key member of the group is being cast.

According to Daniel Richtman via his Patreon, Marvel is looking to cast Hulkling, a very important member of the Young Avengers and one that Marvel is currently giving a huge push in the comics with their massive 2020 “Empyre” event.

For those unfamiliar, Hulkling doesn’t have anything to do with the Hulk. Instead he’s half-Kree and half-Skrull, which gives him a very cosmic connection to characters such as Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau.

This part is just speculation, but as Monica Rambeau is an agent of S.W.O.R.D. in WandaVision, and since she has a lifelong connection to the Skrulls, it’s entirely possible this casting is a late addition to that show and she could be hiding Hulkling on Earth.

Wherever he appears, the Young Avengers are gradually being assembled in the MCU. I wouldn’t be shocked if something like The Falcon and The Winter Soldier leads to Patriot being introduced as well…
