The Sony-Disney situation is over, for now, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be hearing about the fallout for a long time. And the latest is a whopper from the directors of Avengers: Endgame in a new interview.
Talking with the Toronto Sun, Joe Russo says it was a “tragic” and “big” mistake on Sony’s part for taking Spider-Man away:
“But, I will say, stepping back and trying to be objective as possible, that I think it’s a tragic mistake on Sony’s part to think that they can replicate Kevin’s penchant for telling incredible stories and the amazing success he has had over the years. It remains to be seen if this sort of pressure on the part of both fans and filmmakers will force cooler heads to prevail and new negotiations to take place. For now, life is slowly moving on in the MCU…
