Martin Freeman Says Black Panther 2 Won’t Start Filming Until 2021

Last week we learned that Martin Freeman will be returning as Everett Ross in the upcoming Black Panther sequel. Now we know when that sequel will begin filming, and it won’t be for a while.

Freeman told Uproxx that they won’t be doing it next year:

The last I heard, we won’t be doing it next year. So, it might be 2021 when we’re making the next Black Panther. That’s all I know.

The Black Panther sequel is widely expected to be the February 18, 2022 movie for the MCU, so even if they don’t begin until 2021 they’ll be able to make that date.
