Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, everyone is wondering if we’re ever going to see a suit of Iron Man armor in the MCU again. While some fans just can’t accept what happened, it’s clear that Robert Downey Jr. is done playing Tony Stark and the mantle will need to be passed to a new character. Last year, Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige said we’ll see “different incarnations” of characters you know in the MCU going forward, which opens the door to characters such as Kate Bishop and Ironheart.
In the comics, Tony Stark is punched into a coma by Captain Marvel during Civil War II, and in his absence the brilliant Riri Williams makes her own Iron Man suit and becomes Ironheart.
Last night there was a gala at the Gene Siskel Film Center, and Robert Downey Jr. was introduced by the writer of Marvel’s Ironheart, Eve Ewing. After that, RDJ told the entire room that Ironheart should be in the MCU:
The real story here is that @RobertDowneyJr said publicly in a room full of people that #Ironheart should be in the MCU. I went straight back to the press area afterward and was like YOU ALL HEARD IT, WRITE THAT DOWN https://t.co/WoursjnRdW

Last year an Ironheart script appeared on The Black List:

With the support of Iron Man himself and there actually being a script out there for the character, it wouldn’t be shocking if we see Riri Williams pop up in the MCU at some point in the future.
