Captain Marvel released this week on Digital HD prior to the June 11th Blu-ray Disc release, and the special features reveal some behind-the-scenes footage we haven’t seen yet. Some images of the special features have been spread around since then, and every clickbait website, hoaxer Instagram account, and bs-ing YouTube channel are claiming the images of Captain Marvel on the Vormir set is evidence of massive edits to Avengers: Endgame, mostly to fuel their dumb conspiracy theories.
Unfortunately, those Vormir images are not from any deleted scene.
Kevin Feige explained in March to Comicbook.com, that her first costume test was on that set: “We had the first full costume fitting with Brie Larson on the set of Avengers: Endgame, and just stepping into the little tent on set where we hide – because we don’t want many people to see – it was astounding. Seeing that character that we’ve been working on for years, that we’ve been dreaming about even longer than that, seeing her standing in front of us for the first time, in real life – it’s incredible. It’s an amazing start for the adventure that lies ahead.”
So there you have it, directly from the head of Marvel Studios. The first camera tests of the suit were done on the Endgame set, which is why Carol is seen on Vormir as well as on set with the Russos and Scarlett Johansson.
