Last night, an international TV spot for Spider-Man: Far From Home was released that contains a lot of spoilery new footage, and it includes a very interesting shot of a new building.
People have been wondering who bought the Avengers Tower in Spider-Man: Homecoming. While some people were hoping it’d become the Baxter Building, the reality of that isn’t possible due to when Spider-Man: Homecoming was made. The movie was written and produced years before the idea of Disney buying Fox (and Marvel regaining the Fantastic Four rights) was ever even thought of, so putting a reference to characters that neither Sony nor Marvel could use in their movie doesn’t make any sense…just like all the people who thought the X-Men would show up in Avengers: Endgame.
This new international trailer could give us a look at what the Avengers Tower looks like after the five year time jump:
While it most likely isn’t the Baxter Building, this could be our first look at the new Oscorp Tower. After all, Sonny Burch in Ant-Man and The Wasp was working for a very wealthy mystery person buying up all sorts of tech, and Norman Osborn would be the sort of person to buy the former Stark Tower for his own. Perhaps this is a shot from later in the movie?
