Recently, Marvel announced new Ghost Rider and Helstrom series to stream on Hulu. Ghost Rider will feature the same Robbie Reyes from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (although in a new story not connected to Season 4 of that show), and Helstrom is the first time that character would appear on screen. When those were announced a reliable source told me the character Glyph would also receive a series with the other two, and now it looks like that is confirmed along with something even cooler.
When the series were announced, some people speculated Marvel might do a “Midnight Sons” style team up like the Defenders on Netflix. Well, last month Marvel filed new trademarks for Ghost Rider, Helstrom, Glyph…and Spirits of Vengeance. The trademarks cover digital media and audio/video recordings, which means they could be for television series; and Marvel has already officially announced two of them:
Recently Marvel produced a “Spirits of Vengeance” team-up comic that featured Ghost Rider, Hellstorm, Blade, and Santana. It ran for five issues from 2017 to 2018. That could serve as a model for these Hulu series as we already have Ghost Rider and Helstrom officially announced, and trademarks filed for Glyph and Spirits of Vengeance. The big question mark would be if Blade would follow or if Marvel is saving him for a movie.
