As Marvel starts to dive into Phase 4 following the release of Avengers: Endgame next week, fans are eagerly awaiting both the new movies as well as sequels to existing franchises. One that might see a fourth movie is Thor, according to Tessa Thompson.
In an interview with the LA Times, The Valkyrie says there may be a Thor 4 on the way:
“I heard that a pitch has happened for [another “Thor” film]. I don’t know how real that intel is, but I hear that the pitch has happened. I think the idea is Taika [Waititi, who directed ‘Ragnarok’] would come back.”
Thor Ragnarok did set up where a fourth Thor could go, and it’s right from the comics. At the end of the movie, Thor was going to take the refugee Asgardians to Earth, and that happened in the comics during the Siege event. In that, Thor rebuilds Asgard in Oklahoma and eventually Norman Osborn and his Dark Avengers attack.
With the mention of Thor headed to Earth to rebuild Asgard, as well as the rumors surrounding a possible Norman Osborn appearance at some point, Siege could be a basis for where they go with Thor 4.
