We’ve known that Avengers: Endgame will likely be the last time we see characters such as Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, at least for a while, but now another character is confirmed to be “retired” from the MCU following the culmination of twenty two movies.
In an interview with Variety, Gwyneth Paltrow says that Pepper won’t be seen much after Avengers: Endgame:
“I mean, I’m a bit old to be in a suit and all that at this point,” Paltrow, 46, told Variety in this week’s cover story. “I feel very lucky that I did it, because I actually got talked into it. I was friend with [‘Iron Man’ director] Jon Favreau. It was such a wonderful experience making the first ‘Iron Man’ and then to watch how important it has become to fans.”
She said that she would come back for cameos though, which sounds like she does survive:
“I feel honored to be a part of something that people are so passionate about,” she said. “Of course, if they said, ‘Can you come back for a day?,’ I will always be there if they need me.”
Pepper’s signature is on that big check in the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer, so we know that she still exists in the post-Endgame MCU, we probably just won’t see her much beyond a possible cameo here and there.
