I can’t believe I’m even having to run this, but based on the number of people who actually believe a bit of Google trolling a prankster did over the last week, it’s needed.
No, Hugh Jackman is not in Avengers: Endgame. And people really need to learn how Google works. C’mon. It’s 2019. People should know this by now.
The origin of this fake news everyone is believing is that if you search Google for “famous Hugh Jackman movies” (and only that) Avengers: Endgame shows up.
It doesn’t show up if you use a different search term:
Google simply indexes the internet. Meaning it crawls web pages and finds information that way. Someone intentionally trolled Google to make Avengers: Endgame show up on a specific Hugh Jackman search result and make people on the Internet who don’t know how Google works freak out over the upcoming Avengers movie.
It’s not confirmed, but it’s possible an edit on Wikipedia (which everyone can edit) on Hugh Jackman’s page could be responsible for it. The edit was quickly changed by Wikipedia when it was noticed:
No, he’s not in Avengers: Endgame. This is the 2019 version of last year’s hoax that made people believe Silver Surfer would be in Avengers: Infinity War.
I know people are desperate to see Hugh as Wolverine in the MCU, but that’s not going to happen. There will be a new Weapon X/Wolverine in the MCU when the time comes, and chances are he may even be one of the first of the Fox characters to be introduced…
