Over the last couple of days, the internet has been on fire with people freaking out about the lack of an Avengers 4 trailer. The last twenty-four hours has been even worse when a speculative click-bait article that proclaimed the trailer would drop today went viral. It went so viral, radio stations in Los Angeles were reporting on it as if it were fact.
The article was based on speculation that the Russo Brothers would drop the trailer tonight at a screening of Avengers: Infinity War in Hollywood that Collider is putting on for fans. The directors will do a Q&A following the screening, and people automatically assumed they would drop the trailer there, even when there was zero confirmation of that happening. Now there’s confirmation that it isn’t going to happen.
According to Entertainment Weekly’s Anthony Breznican, the trailer is not going to arrive today:

Entertainment Weekly is very closely tied to Disney by doing their “First Look” covers for most Marvel movies. If anyone knows when it isn’t dropping, it’s them.
