Don’t Get Your Hopes Up For an Avengers 4 Trailer With ‘Nutcracker’

For the past week or so an apparently bogus rumor has picked up steam, and it’s been giving Marvel fans false hope of seeing the Avengers 4 trailer early. From what I can tell, the rumor originates on a Disney blog and it says that to get people excited for Nutcracker and the Four Realms, Disney will put the Avengers 4 trailer with the movie on November 2nd.

There is absolutely zero evidence this is happening, and there’s actually more evidence that it isn’t.

The first sign that it isn’t going to happen is the trailer isn’t online now. If it were going to go out in theaters with a movie on November 2nd, the trailer would be online on all the official channels now. The new Disney trailer going into theaters with Nutcracker and the Four Realms is probably the Aladdin trailer, which they released online last week.

Of course when presented with this fact, those pushing the apparently bogus Nutcracker rumor change their story to say it won’t be released online and instead be exclusively on the movie and come out online later. This isn’t 1999 like when Fox put the first trailer for The Phantom Menace on Meet Joe Black. In 2018, trailers are released online via YouTube and social media channels first and the theater is secondary to getting it exposure. An exclusive trailer without it being released online is just asking for potato-phone bootlegs as well.

Realistically, the Avengers 4 trailer is still most likely to arrive towards the end of November.
