A few months ago, Disney announced new Marvel attractions for the Disneyland Resort, Paris Disneyland, and Hong Kong Disneyland via three posters featuring the Marvel characters. As the Internet tends to do, people latched onto the Disneyland poster to find a conspiracy of Disney “leaking” the look of the Spider-Man: Far From Home Spider-Man suit. The Spider-Man suit on the poster was of a new design, and obviously Disney was purposely leaking the new movie design two years before the movie would come out. Right? Well, not exactly.
As it turns out, it’s the new suit for the in-park Spider-Man meet and greets. Laughing Place was at Disneyland Paris and met him already:

Why a new suit for the parks? Previously they were using a slightly modified version of the Amazing Spider-Man 2 suit for Spider-Man in the parks. That was likely due to it being a pretty quick addition to the parks following Spidey appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Spidey making more appearances in the MCU, the parks needed something closer to his MCU appearance and less like that of the previous movie series.
Could this suit show up in movies? It’s possible. But as of right now it looks like it’s meant for the theme parks. Fans in the US will probably start seeing this suit show up in Disney California Adventure soon if they’re using it in Paris already.
