Ask almost anyone and they’ll tell you Thor stole the show in Avengers: Infinity War. From screaming “Bring me Thanos!” with Stormbreaker in hand, to causing the deaths of trillions of people because he didn’t aim for the head, Point Break was one of the best parts of the movie.
Now Chris Hemsworth answered a question on Quora in his own words about how he was cast as the Lord of Thunder:
“I had a very early audition early on in the process, didn’t go very well. My little brother had an audition, he almost got the part. Then didn’t ‘cause they said he’s a bit young so they opened the casting back up. I was really angry that he almost got the part, so I came back in with a newfound fury. And actually had to call him and say ‘How was the audition? Give me some tips,’ and he did, thankfully, and I got the part. So it was a very collaborative family event, that one. Motivated by a little brotherly rivalry.”
Thankfully he aimed for the head in the audition process and got the part, as he’s been a great Thor. Too bad he didn’t do that with Thanos.
