Overly passionate fans sending death threats over a super hero movie isn’t really new. Last year I experienced that myself when I told people that Justice League would only be two hours long. It looks like the Russo Brothers aren’t immune to it either thanks to a character not being included in Avengers: Infinity War…
Jeremy Renner told USA Today that the directors got death threats because Hawkeye wasn’t in the movie:
It’s a nice feeling, I suppose. I think the Russo brothers (Anthony and Joe, who directed) got way too many death threats. I’m like, “Wow, dude, that’s intense. I’m sorry!”
Those hoping to see Hawkeye in an Avengers movie won’t have to wait long, as he’ll definitely have a role to play in Avengers 4 next May and the rumor of what he does is pretty awesome.
