Kevin Feige Confirms Plans For Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) in the MCU

Ever since Marvel Studios revealed they were doing the Carol Danvers Captain Marvel movie, people had been wondering when Ms. Marvel would arrive in the MCU. Since Kamala Khan was introduced in the comics, she’s become one of the more popular characters and her solo book surprised even Marvel with its young reader base who bought more copies of the book digitally rather than at physical comic stores.

Now Kamala is confirmed to come to the MCU, Kevin Feige explained in a BBC interview when asked about her:

“We’re doing Captain Marvel right now. Captain Marvel is shooting with Brie Larson. Ms. Marvel, which is another character in the comics, the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel; is definitely sort of in the works. We have plans for that one once we’ve introduced Captain Marvel to the world.”

As Kamala is an Inhuman and those are pretty well established in the MCU, it’s not surprising that they plan to introduce her once her inspiration is a big part of the universe. Although Feige wasn’t specific as to whether or not this would be a movie or if it’ll be something more targeted towards a younger audience such as a series on Freeform. I know most people are hoping for a movie…
