Deadpool 2 releases next week and I’ve actually had the full plot for a couple of months, and with the final version of the movie now being seen by people I can confirm what the post credits scenes are including that the funniest one was removed from the final film.
This is your SPOILER WARNING. If you do not want to know what the post-credits scenes are turn back now.
There are multiple credit scenes in the movie, all following the theme of Wade traveling through time. This is what you’ll see as the credits roll:
- Negasonic and Yoiki fixing the time device.
- Deadpool saving Vanessa and jumping back in time immediately after. He also saves Peter (the Peter one is newly added post-reshoots).
- He kills Weapon XI in front of Wolverine. “Just fixing the timeline.” This is just stock footage from X-Men Origins they composited Deadpool into.
- Ryan Reynolds holding the Green Lantern script and commenting on how they “hit the big time”. Shoots him in the head.
There originally was a 5th credit scene where Deadpool kills baby Hitler, but that was cut out of the final version of the movie. This is the original version of the scene:
Deadpool in a newborn ward. Standing next to a crib with a name tag that says “A Hilter”. He goes back and forth on doing it. A baby cries and he says, “Shut up Ira, you’ll thank me someday!”. Finally he goes for it, then baby Hitler’s POV as Dreadpool strangles him.
Why was that last scene cut? Apparently it did make some people very uncomfortable in test screenings, despite how hilarious it was. Hopefully it ends up on the Blu-Ray as a deleted scene…
