Avengers: Infinity War nearly didn’t have a post-credits scene but not for the thematic reason some comic fans are speculating about.

In an interview with Radio Times, the Russo Brothers were asked if they considered not doing one because there’s an Avengers movie next summer that picks up the story from this one and they confirmed that they did think of that:

Anthony Russo said, “It’s hard to comment on that again because we don’t want to sort of speak to the experience too specifically, but yeah.” And then Joe continued, “It’s certainly something you consider, but it’s like Ant said, we wrote a letter begging the fans not to spoil the movie for each other so we don’t want to spoil it for them.”

According to rumors, there is at least one scene after the ending of the movie. I won’t spoil it here, but it’s not some big flashy character reveal like some people on the internet are hoping for; but it will be great tease (if the rumor is true).
