Avengers: Infinity War has hit box office tracking this morning, and it looks like it’s going to shatter box office records and even has the biggest one in its sights.
According to Deadline, the movie hit tracking this morning and is looking like it’ll open well North of $200 million, but the sky is the limit with this one as the movie is beating Star Wars: The Force Awakens in the two most important metrics.
When The Force Awakens set the box office opening record at $247 million in 2015, its unaided awareness was 36, where Infinity War is at 46. Likewise for first choice, Star Wars only had 22 while Avengers is at 38 right now. Those two metrics are showing that the impossible may be possible and the Marvel film could get close to that opening record at the end of the month.
