Insomniac’s Spider-Man PlayStation 4 Game Arrives September 7th

One of the big jokes at San Diego Comic Con last year, where Insomniac’s Spider-Man was a big part of the Marvel Games’ presentation, was that the game didn’t have a release date last year. They kept trying to get the date out of the developer, but they wouldn’t comment besides saying it’ll come out in 2018. Now it has a release date.

The official PlayStation Blog announced this morning that Spider-Man will hit the PlayStation 4 on September 7th, and as with every game these days there will be more than one version to buy. There’s the standard $60 edition, an $80 Digital Deluxe edition that has a season pass with post-launch DLC called “Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps”, and then a big $150 collector’s edition that includes all of the DLC as well as a Spider-Man statue.

The digital version of the game is already up for pre-order on the PlayStation Store. No sign of the physical copies on Amazon or Best Buy just yet, but they should be coming soon…
